I graduated from College in 1991. I studied and worked in an office setting for a government-funded program for 10 years.
After 10 years, I felt I was missing something. I wasn’t fulfilled, and I was looking for something different, something more. I wanted the freedom to live my life on my terms and I wanted to help people.
In 2002, there were a lot of government cutbacks, restructuring, and job losses, and unfortunately, my position was eliminated.
The search began for another job. I was ready to settle and accept another office job. I went to countless interviews for another office job but it never felt right.
Just as I thought I would be working in another office environment, I was approached by a local Realtor®.
This meeting changed my life. He was looking for an assistant to help him with his day-to-day duties.
The catch was that I had to go get licensed as a Realtor®.
He didn’t just want an assistant, he wanted a business partner.
I didn’t know it at the time, but this was exactly what I was looking for.
After receiving my license in 2003, my new business partner and I opened up a Real Estate Office.
Together, we built and managed a very successful Real Estate business for 14 years.
I learned so much from him. He was a great teacher.
After 14 years, it was time for me to do my own thing.
My business partner and I were going in different directions, so we decided to part ways.
It wasn’t easy to go out on my own as a Realtor®, but I pushed through.
Kind of like when you’re thinking about making a big change in your life, like downsizing.
Back in 2012, my husband and I decided to downsize our 1700-square-foot home.
It was too much. Too much space. Too much cost. Too much time cleaning and maintaining.
We realized we were working just to pay for a house we didn’t really need anymore.
So we made the choice to not only downsize our home — but to downsize our life.
We moved into a 1000-square-foot place, simplified things, and finally made room for what mattered more: peace, travel, and enjoying life together.
It wasn’t always easy. It took adjusting. But we’ve never regretted it.
That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others do the same.
Whether it’s your first or fifth time selling, change can feel scary. But you don’t have to do it alone.
If you’re ready to take that next step toward a simpler, more meaningful life, let’s talk.
Book a call or message me — I’d love to help you live your best life.
